Hello!

My name is Cindy Trevizo, I’m an artist who loves clay. I have been a potter for over a decade & have recently jumped into the world of polymer clay.

I teach middle school art and high school ceramics. I have travelled to 14 different countries and plan to keep adding to that list with every passing year. I’m a softy, a proud weirdo, & a lover of animals.

When I create ceramics or jewelry, my hope is that it finds a home and brings with it a little touch of joy. If you are kind enough to purchase any of my work, I hope it makes you smile and that it becomes a small part of your infinitely beautiful life.

I hope it adds a smile to your morning coffee, a little sass to your outfit, or a comfort to your family meal. Use them often and know that it was made just for you.

With Love,

Cindy Trevizo

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life.
— John Lubbock

Around the age of 11, I found my home among the pages of my sketchbook. I found my voice in the art room and my confidence digging through tubs of colored pencils and paint brushes.

I was a very shy human in middle school. I never spoke my mind and was horrified to be in front of a room full of my peers. I however did know one thing, I loved art class. After years of insecurity, I realized people saw me when they looked at my art and it gave me a confidence I’d never known before.

Art has always been very special to me. I’ve been creating since I was a child and I’m confident I will continue creating until my time is up. It brings me peace, joy, and connects me with that 11 year old kid that sought to be belong and feel seen.

After becoming the “Most Artistic” label in high school, I started college unsure of my future. Those who knew me best imagined me as an art teacher but I couldn’t see it. I remember actually saying, “Me? A teacher? No thank you.”

After a semester in front of a computer, I missed the sound of scribbling on paper. I missed speaking with others about art. I missed creating with my own hands. I quickly changed my major to Art Education hoping that my peers and my past teachers knew me better than I knew myself. I concurred my fears a semester at a time. The more time I spent in a classroom, the more I realized I enjoyed it. I graduated with a degree in K-12 Art Education and a Concentration in Ceramics.

I’ve been teaching middle school now for a decade. I’ve met some truly wonderful humans who have molded me into the person I am now. Professors, fellow educators, colleagues, and students who have challenged me and helped me along the way.

It all begins with an idea,

Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
